Natalia Alaverdian's recent collection for her London-based label, A.W.A.K.E., is more than just kawaii. It's scultural, feminine and truly eye-catchy, like a well curated Tumblr feed. Inspired with cheerful Pokemon characters and cherry blossom trees, Natalia offers women a moody, fresh collections. Of course there are few "like at Celine" themes, but it's definitely one of the most innovative and unique collections I have seen for a while in the base of new-comer designers. The arsty skirts with ruffles are the out-standing pieces while the gingnam varsity jackets and bloussons make me think of warm winter evenings at home. The whole cute thing supplied with a Pokemon doze is just in the right amount – it's percptible, but does not overkill the final outcome. More of collections like this, and A.W.A.K.E. might become a label worth of following.
