Julie De Libran is a true Parisienne. She was born in Paris. She observed Sonia Rykiel's fashion since her childhood. And now she is the creative director of this very Parisian house. But, in comparison to her first collection, which was sexy, wearable and beautiful, the second one is of those which you would like to forget about. I mean, yes, Parisian women are messy (take Caroline de Maigret), but not so much! They are mysterious, sharp… and here we've got Parisian chic, but in a tasteless version – these tights are literally killing me. I thought only secretaries wore these. Then, these boots… these bags… it all looks so cheap and NOT chic. It's a bit Saint Laurent, a bit Celine, a bit second-hand shop. And it started all so good in September when Julie presented her SS15… hope next season is going to fix this misunderstanding.
