Alexander Wang had his look book done in a laundromat… the designer was obsessed with clothes that are affected by laundry cleaning. Preoccupied with the idea of care instructions and things being ruined by washing, his unconventional tie-dye, of course, was pretty Coachella like. It comes on fine leather T-shirts with raw edges or on opaque PVC slickers. And it's often bisected with graphic stripes of contrasting color, the better to give it a gritty, city edge. There was also that WET sign. Is it going to be the new Parental Advisory? I must admit, Wang did a small sum up of all his fashion achievements: grunge, logomania, street influence and the print collage… Maybe that's not the strongest collection Wang had designed, but still, there are things that catch the eye.
