Well-known Vocalist So Tay entered into Monkhood at the Shwe Hinthar Monastery in Thingangyun township, Yangon on May 5, 2014. So Tay said that he has entered into Monkhood as the mark of his 25th Birthday and will study Buddhist religious practices during his one-week stay at the Monastery. So Tay turned 25 on May 6, 2014.
